savoring fall
the leaves that are green will turn to brown
rustle in the wind fall, one a time or in a torrent
no torrent yet, but I feel it coming
the readiness of fall to sweep me away
my body desiring to remain between the sheets longer each day
and yet awoken by my lovers touch
i respond, my body comes alive to greet this day
this day of grace and blue sky
each moment of sunshine a gift to be savored
